Sub-products

Pusa Basmati Rice is supplied in these forms

The variety sets the grain length; the processing decides the colour, the firmness and how it behaves in a kitchen. Quote against whichever form suits your market — the price differs between them.

  • Raw Rice

    Highest aroma · softest bite

Milled straight from paddy with no parboiling. The whitest grain and the most delicate aroma — and the least forgiving in transit.

    Price Raw Rice
  • Steam Rice

    Bright white · non-sticky

Steamed and dried before milling. Holds its aroma, cooks firm and separate, and breaks far less than raw.

    Price Steam Rice
  • Creamy Sella Rice

    Ivory · very firm

Parboiled in the husk, then milled. An ivory grain that stays firm through long holding — the grade catering kitchens ask for.

    Price Creamy Sella Rice
  • Golden Sella Rice

Amber · firmest · best yield

A longer parboil giving a deep amber grain. The firmest of the four, the lowest breakage, and the highest yield per kilo cooked.

    Price Golden Sella Rice

Packing & private label

Ship it as Tansen, or ship it as yours

Most of our volume leaves the mill under a buyer’s own brand. Send artwork and the declarations your market requires; a print proof comes back before anything goes on press.

  • Consumer packs

Printed BOPP or PET-poly laminate with a resealable option. 1, 5, 10 and 20 kg.

    BOPP · PET-poly · resealable

  • Bulk bags

Jute or woven PP with an inner liner, stitched and lot-stencilled. 25 and 50 kg.

  • Private label

Private label is a core capability, not a favour. Your artwork, your barcode, your market’s declarations — we handle repro, plate and print for buyers in every market we serve.

    Flexible packaging for global markets

  • Container loading

Palletised or floor-loaded, shrink-wrapped and photographed at stuffing.

Other grades buyers pair with this one

  • Extra-long 1121 basmati grains, milled and polished Flagship

    1121 Basmati Rice

The longest commercially milled basmati grain in the world, and the reason most first orders are placed. Aged before milling and supplied in all four forms.

  • Raw 1509 basmati rice in a wooden scoop Volume grade

    1509 Basmati Rice

    8.40+ mm average grain length

A shorter-duration crop with grain length close to 1121 and a firmer bite. The grade that keeps a large kitchen inside its food cost.

  • Extra-long 1718 basmati grains after milling Extra long

    1718 Basmati Rice

    8.40+ mm average grain length

Slender, very long and consistent in size, with a firmer kernel than 1121. Buyers who want length without the price of the flagship choose this one.
