Our introduction

A legacy of rice, built on quality, trust and generations

Established in 1972 in Bundi, Rajasthan by Shri Ramchandra Nyati, Shri Balaji Industries began with a simple belief: good rice earns trust, and trust builds lasting relationships. Tansen Rice is our flagship brand.

What started as a vision has grown across three generations into a modern rice manufacturing and export business, while the values at its foundation remain unchanged — quality, integrity, consistency and commitment.

  • Superior quality grain, every lot
  • 50,000+ MT of covered, ventilated storage
  • Seven varieties, four processing forms
  • Documentation ready the day it sails

The basmati belt

Grown where basmati
has always grown

Paddy from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan, bought at the mandi and on direct contract, aged twelve to twenty-four months before it is milled.

  • 1972 Milling since
  • 400 MT Per day
  • 5 Continents

Three generations

One enduring vision

Every generation has added a chapter to the journey. The names change; the standard does not.

  1. 1972 First generation

    Shri Ramchandra Nyati

Founded the business in Bundi, Rajasthan with a clear vision — deliver quality rice, build lasting customer relationships, and run a business founded on trust and integrity.

  2. Second Second generation

Shri Vinod Kumar Nyati & Shri Balkishan Nyati

Carried the foundation forward. Their dedication, business vision and commitment to quality strengthened operations and expanded the company’s market presence.

  3. Third Third generation

    Mr. Bhanu Nyati

Leads operations, export development and future growth — combining decades of industry experience with a modern approach to manufacturing, international trade and market development.

  4. Today The company today

    Tansen Agro Exports Pvt. Ltd.

Two plants in Bundi — the original mill and Vatsal Agro Industries, added in 2021 — milling, ageing, packing and exporting under one roof to buyers across five continents.

Inside the mill

Every grade leaves
the same floor

Rubber-roll shelling, gentle polishing, destoning, length grading and colour sorting — one line, one standard, whichever variety is running that day.

The range

Seven varieties, one standard of milling

Every variety below is aged before milling, sortex-cleaned and released against a lot report. Open any one to see its processing forms and ask for a price.

  • Extra-long 1121 basmati grains, milled and polished Flagship

    1121 Basmati Rice

    8.40 mm average grain length

The longest commercially milled basmati grain in the world, and the reason most first orders are placed. Aged before milling and supplied in all four forms.

  • Raw 1509 basmati rice in a wooden scoop Volume grade

    1509 Basmati Rice

    8.40 mm average grain length

A shorter-duration crop with grain length close to 1121 and a firmer bite. The grade that keeps a large kitchen inside its food cost.

  • Extra-long 1718 basmati grains after milling Extra long

    1718 Basmati Rice

    8.40 mm average grain length

Slender, very long and consistent in size, with a firmer kernel than 1121. Buyers who want length without the price of the flagship choose this one.

Premium Basmati For the World’s Kitchens

From our fields

One harvest, followed all the way to your port

Every season begins in the basmati belt of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan and ends on a quay somewhere else in the world. Between those two points sit the ageing sheds, the rubber-roll mill, the colour sorters and the documentation desk — and a lot report that follows the grain the whole way.

Our own plants

Two mills, one standard

Paddy intake, ageing sheds, rubber-roll milling, colour sorting and packing — all under our own roof, so the container that lands in March matches the one from September.

Since 1972

Fifty harvests, and the same standard every one of them

Founded by Shri Ramchandra Nyati in 1972, carried forward by Shri Vinod Kumar Nyati and Shri Balkishan Nyati, and led today by Mr. Bhanu Nyati. Every generation has added a chapter; the standard has not moved.

  • Family-run mill, not a trading desk
  • Direct paddy contracts across Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan
  • Own ageing sheds, sortex line and packing hall
  • In-house documentation for every shipment

What we do

From the mandi to your quay

Five things happen between a farmer’s field and your warehouse, and we do all five in-house. No broker in the middle, and no step you have to take on trust.

  • Procurement

Bought at the mandi and on direct contract across the belt.

Every lot is chosen on grain length, aroma and moisture before a single sack moves, so nothing enters the mill that will not leave it as export grade.

  • Rice Processing

Rubber-roll shelling and gentle multi-stage polishing.

Slower than an abrasive mill, and the reason breakage stays under one per cent on an extra-long grain.

  • Quality Control

Destoners, length graders and colour sorters, in series.

Every lot is drawn, measured and cleared against a written report before it is packed, and that report travels with the shipment.

  • Packaging

Retail laminates from 1 kg, bulk in 50 kg jute or PP.

Before you write

The six things buyers ask first

Still not sure which grade suits your market?

+91 96105 33333
What is the minimum order?

One 20ft container — about 26 MT bagged. Mixed grades in a single container are fine, in full-pallet multiples.

Can we see a sample before ordering?

Yes. We courier a 500 g sample of any grade at no charge, with the lot report for that batch. Tell us the grade and the destination address.

What are your payment terms?

Irrevocable letter of credit at sight, or 30% advance by telegraphic transfer with the balance against a scanned bill of lading. Terms open up once we have shipped together.

How long from order to sailing?

Twelve to eighteen days for a standard grade in stock packaging. Private-label print adds seven to ten days for the first run only.

Do you supply on a private label?

Most of our volume ships under a buyer’s own brand. Send your artwork and market declarations and we will return a print proof.

Which documents come with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, and the bill of lading. Any additional certificate your customs requires can be arranged.
